Anupama:
I worked for many years around solvents in photolitho rooms from 1970's thru
late 1980's. It has caused me to be very solvent sensitive where I cannot be
subjected to anything like acetone or Xylenes or I become ill. I believe IBM has
done the most extensive studies on the effects of women and solvents from the
litho process due to a class action lawsuit filed in the 1980's. You might start
your research there. I know as a manager in wafer fabs that we rotated women who
were pregnant away from areas where they would be subjected to low levels of
solvents and also in diffusion areas that were using arsenic or other heavy
metal potential contaminants. Good luck and yes it is a dangerous business long-
term. Bob Henderson
