Thiol chemistry will do, it is pretty standard
technique for any biochemists as the gold substrates
are normally used. You might check work done by Rob
(Bojan) Ilic from Cornell University as he published a
few papers dealing with identical topic, attaching a
bio substance (bacteria via its antibody) to the oxide
cantilever.
