Jayaram,
It's easier to work with nondimensional variables, such as aspect ratio,
in such situations. I presume you are solving a 3-d problem in Ansys but
it might help to nondimensionalize the equivalent 1-d beam equation and
start from there.
If you are looking for an objective function, a standard nondimensional
quantity that measures the dynamic sensitivity (and resolution) of
oscillators is its quality factor (Q). Q is the ratio of maximum
mechanical energy to the energy dissipated in one cycle.
