Coventorware vs ANSYS

Hello, guys, happy holiday!

I'd like compare these two leading softwares in terms
of multiphysics modeling. In my view, ANSYS is more
powerful and reliable. It can be applied almost for
any geometry (irregular in-plane shape and arbitray
out-of-plane profile), include residual stress state
at different locations (not only a norminal stress),
solve electrostatic-mechanical coupled problem at
different temperatures. ANSYS can basically solve any
real problem though it may require more time in
building up the model. Coventorware is dedicated to
MEMS but it does have many limitations.

Welcome to discuss if you have different opinions.

Y. Zhu
