Dear Dave,
             Can I use the prepared KI,I2,DI water (4:1:40) solution for gold
etchant after 20 days because I preserved it in a glass bottle.

I use 20gm KI : 5gm Iodine : 160 ml DI water. You can change the
concentration too to achieve higher etch rates. If you want you can reuse it
for few times but not more as you will notice the etch rate will change each
time you resue it. As far as I know you can preserve in any sealed glass or
plastic bottle.
