It seems there are a number of list subscribers using broken
vacation autoresponders.  Autoresponders should only respond to a
message that includes your e-mail address in a To: or Cc: header.
If set up this way, they will not respond to mailing list mail.
Unfortunately, there is a lot of broken mail software out there.

As a courtesy to other mems-talk subscribers, the mems-talk moderation
team will periodically try to detect broken autoresponders. If your
autoresponder replies to this message we will disable your
subscription.  We will send another message to those people with
instructions on how to re-enable their subscription.
