Hi,

Recently I'm concerning about a few coating issues and hope everyone can shed
some lights on these. The coating was done using e-beam evaporator, the issues
are

1. For a tri-layer film structure (SiO2-Al-SiO2) on glass substrate, the edges
of the sample started to become 'cloudy'or 'hazzy' after a 1 month. But this
'cloudiness' can be wiped off using alcohol.

2. For a multilayer TiO2 and SiO2 coating, when the sample was cleaned by using
a cleaning wiper with chemical Silicone/alcohol, the surface of the coating
started to show 'scratch' lines parallel to the cleaning direction.

Any idea on the cause and/or solution to these issues is appreciated.

Han
