It seems there are a number of list subscribers using broken
vacation autoresponders.  Autoresponders should only respond to a
message that includes your e-mail address in a To: or Cc: header.
If set up this way, they will not respond to mailing list mail.
Unfortunately, there is a lot of broken mail software out there.

As a courtesy to other mems-talk subscribers, the mems-talk
moderation team will periodically try to detect broken
autoresponders. If your autoresponder replies to this message I will
disable your subscription.  I will send another message those people
with instructions on how to re-enable their subscription.
