Titanium Vs Platinum

Dear Friends,

I am trying to develop a mems based temperature sensor. My
temperature measurement range is -90 deg C to +55 deg C. I tried to
fabricate it with titanium and the temperature testing of this titanium
based sensor reveals a very linear response over the whole range with a
good TCR(0.3% /deg C) which is near to Platinum TCR(0.4%) .

I understand that platinum is best suited for this type of application due
to its stability and other features. But Since i have also got a good
initial response from titanium based sensor, I want to have the feedback
that is it right to go with this approach or i should switch to platinum(
if titanium have any disadvantages)

Please provide me your valuable suggestions.

Regards
