For Ni ion conc.

Use 1:10 dilution of electrolyte and DI, Mix Well

Use 10 ml from that mixture and mix with 10ml of ammonium hydroxide (color
will change from green to blue)

Add 80ml of DI.

Add a spatula tip of Murexid indicator to the solution (changes from blue to
yellow/green, the less you use the better)

Titrate with 0.1M EDTA till you see a distinct violent color change.

Ni ion Conc. (g/L) = ml of EDTA x 5.87
