One method to coat the large area display is to use a spray coating process.
I've been performing spray coat processing for a while, and have been able to
achieve some pretty impressive results (in some cases, better than (4%
uniformity). The nice thing is, this technology is scalable to pretty much any
size you could desire, and shape of substrate is not a factor. For more
