Dear Kirt,
it depends on the contact resistivity you can
tolerate. The resistivity between a metal pin and a
fresh ITO-coating was ok (for my application) but it
altered.
Do you need the transparency of pure ITO? If not, a
few nm of a noble metal helps with respect to
conductivity and alters the transparency not to much.
But keep in mind that a few nm of metal ontop if ITO
are not very durable. If you have to contact the same
position of your ITO many times, this approach won't
work.
