What's the size you have in your mind for extremely small-scale? What is
the spec? How many do you want? How much do you will to pay for it? We
make several million pressure sensors per year here at Delphi Delco
Electronics System. We might have something for you.

Subject: pressure/NaCl sensors

Hello,

I am interested in finding out more about extremely small-scale pressure
transducers. I would like to use them to measure soil-pore-water pressures
on the laboratory scale. I'm not neccesarily interested in developing a
new transducer (although it is not out of the question); I would just like
to adapt an existing product for my application. I thought that exploring
medical-blood-pressure transducers would get me started in the right
direction. Any one have any leads on where I could get started looking? I
have looked into the Motorola line of pressure trandsducers but the
packaging (plastic die) will probably be too large for what I would like to
do. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I would also like to find a chemical sensor (specifically, to measure NaCl
concentrations). Again, extremely small-scale and durability are critical
issues. It would be ideal to find an integrated sensor that is capable of
measuring pressures and concentrations on the same chip. Thanks in
advance.
