Ravi:

The EMTGEN macro can be used to create an array of TRANS126 elements.
However, the EMTGEN macro assumes that only one conductor exists. It
will create the nodes for the other conductor. To use it for your
application, you need to create compatible meshes between the
electrodes, and then merge the extra nodes using the NUMMRG command. If
you cannot create compatible meshes, then you will need to create the
TRANS126 elements using the E command.

The steps necessary for a prestressed modal analysis are explained in
detail in Chapter 3 of the Structural Analysis Guide. Essentially it is
a two step procedure. First you need to run a static analysis with
prestressing active (PSTRES), and then run a follow up modal analysis
with prestressing still active. If large deformation effects are
important, you will also have to update the geometry (UPCOORD) after the
static analysis.

Subject: [mems-talk] trans126 element in ansys

I am working on structural design of MEMS gyroscope. I am trying to do
prestressed modal analysis for my structure in ANSYS. For this i have to
create an array of trans126 elements between the proof mass and the bottom
electrode. I am not finding proper way how to create these elements
between the two electrodes. Can anyone tell me how to create an array of
these elements and the exact procedure for prestressed modal analysis?
