I am doing a market research on various applications of MEMS based
     Inertial Sensors.  Would be great if you could answer my queries.

     Does MEMS inertial sensors have the potential of being successful in
     the commercial Medical(pacemaker/patient activity monitoring) market?

     Does MEMS accelerometer have the potential of replacing currently used
     piezoelectric accelerometers?

     Are there any technological hurdles/shortcomings of MEMS for this
     application?
