If the particles have the same charge, electrophoresis will not work. You
may have some luck with dielectrophoresis (DEP). Prof. Thomas B. Jones at
the University of Rochester wrote a good book on Electromechanics of
Particles with that very title. He has a web page at:

http://www.ece.rochester.edu/users/jones/

Good luck.

Dear MEMS collegues,

I am a student quite new to the MEMS field. I would like to use
Microfluidic
device for a separation process using electrophoresis. while searching on
web i am getting articles related to Capillary electrophoresis, which
looks
quite complicated. Are there any other kinds which are simpler. could You
please guide me with some references ( articles).

Note: the materials which i would like to separate have same kind of
charge,
they differ only in size and shape.
