Hello All,

I am trying to desing serpentine springs. I am trying
to find the spring constant of the springs in all
directions and more importantly in Z
direction(Orthogonal to the serpentine layout(XY)).

I was trying to solve the equations given in Gary
Fedder`s thesis. and I have calculated the spring
constant from CoventorWare also. Both of them differ
drastically. I was wondering about the correct spring
constant from either of them.

Can someone suggest me regarding the problem i am
facing.

I would appreciate your help.
