Functional surface chemistry and coating technologies

Dear all,

I please you to give me advice or references about the products, procedures
or well known brands in functional surface chemistry and coating technology
for the following stuff:
Now I'm looking for a possibility to build a 3D profile (pattern) on SiO2
surface by means of silica nano-beans coating.
Nano-particles size must be same or below 5nm-10nm. They must be chemical
modified: must to have a functional groups on these surfaces.
The coating method (spin-, dip-, spray-, vapour- or other- deposition) now
is free to choose. Layer thickness will be variable: from 10nm up to 1 or 2
micron.
I want to activate the "substrate surface" (surface free of or coated with
nano-beans) with a light. Under surface activation I mean the controlled
change of the top molecules chem. properties by means of illumination
(exposure). The activated molecules must become the (chemical) attractivity
for the next part of functionalized nano-beans. The light gap is now free
to choose to: from UV up to X-Rays, because I don't know now exactly what of
the functional molecules can I use.
The pattern will be generated by means of Interference Lithography. Pattern
shapes will be lines, dots or columns.
After coating procedure I want to calcinate (by annealing) the particles in
multi-layer structure.

I think about one art of surface silanization with help of siloxanes coupled
with acryl or epoxy groups.
May be you have a relevant advice for this case. I will be glad to discuss
the possibilities with you and to clear my request. Please fill free to call
me or to send me an e-mail.

Sincerely yours,

Dipl.-Ing. Vitali Emelianov
