Hi all,
I am trying to model a very simple fluid flow in Fluent with an obstacle
inside the fluid. I am very new in this software and dont know how to
intigrate the solid surface with the liquid surface, such that the liquid
may consider the solid properties like density which is specified in the
boundry conditions.
I have made a cylindrical fliud volume (minus the solid object).. and
also the solid object volume separately. Then i have 'connect' ed the common
surfaces to make them one common real surface. I did this so that my two
separate volums are present so that i can specify one as fluid and other as
solid. I expected to get different results of velocity and stress profile
for different values of density of the solid object. But i didnt get so. The
results are same irrespective of solid materials.....
Can someone please help me out how to involve the material properties of
the solid obstacle also in the fluid medium?
Thanks in advance.
