Temporarily masking samples

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a material that allows for temporarily masking
(macroscopically) a portion of a sample and that can withstand solvent?

I need a material like wax, inert to most wet chemical treatments (oxidation,
hydrollyis) and mainly that it's removable by peeling it off the sample.

I hope I have explained clearly.

Thank you in advance

Edmondo
