If you electron beam evaporate quartz, it does not deposit as quartz, does it? I
have heard that quartz is better to use for electron beam evaporation over
amorphous glasses, but I am thinking that it must be because of some evaporation
process and film quality. Once you evaporate it one molecule at a time then it
would deposit as amorphous glass. Someone please confirm or counter this!
