Hi Ken,

I don't know the maintenance status of your wirebonder and so it's
impossible for me to say what's wrong with your machine.

But your problem sounds like the very one we have encountered with
our first wire bonder. Here are some basic hints for using a manual
wirebonder:

- The most important advice is: keep the amount of operators
as small as possible. A new operator or an unskilled operator
is always a danger for the machine.
- Using a book for documentation of the machine parameter settings.
This makes it possible to monitor the machine status any time.
- Don@t think wirebonding is easy. I strongly recommend
practice, practice, practice.......And you need something like
"fingertip-feeling" (in german it@s called "Fingerspitzengefuehl")
- And last but not least, keep your tools, specimes and working
   place clean.

Greetings

Herby
Yours sincerely, Kai Hiltmann
