My CRC handbook says silicon melts at 1410 C. (If it was much easier, Intel for
instance would be in big trouble).
So I doubt that it was liquid silicon you heard about. Also, if it was a
silicone that was meant (that final e often gets lost), those materials can be
liquid, but they are also insulating. So the report on liquid silicon
interconnects is quite puzzling.
