Find a college freshman text on "statics." It's gonna be in there. My
books are all buried in my move from Minneapolis to Dallas, so I con't find
it myself. If your engineering school has a mechanical engineering
department, they should have a text book. If worse comes to worst, and
introductory materials science (mechanical properties of materials) may
list the same information.
It's a fairly intuitive formula with a constant for correction to actual
values. At worst, it will involve a moment of inertia for non-recantular
shapes.
