replacement for strain gauges
Conrad Trevelyan
2001-09-21
Hello,
this is a rather speculative question from a non-MEMS person, so
I would
appreciate any input, whether negative or positive.

Is there any MEMS type technology capable of measuring material strain
on
the scale traditionally managed with strain gauges? I am looking for leads
to a device that may prove more reliable than SGs.

Many Thanks in Advance,

Conrad
