Subject: Silicon emissivity

Does anyone know what the emissivity of silicon is? I know it will be
temperature
dependent, but an idea of the room temperature value would be a good start for
us.

Cheers,

Dave Wood.

there is a table in the Landolt and Bornstein reference books for spectral
emissivity of single crystal silicon at lambda=0.65 um :

T (K) emissivity
1000 0.64
1100 0.62
1200 0.60
1300 0.57
1400 0.54
1500 0.50
1600 0.48
1688 0.46

(Sorry - I've lost the volume number and the reference list, so if you need
anymore info you will need to find a copy of L&B).
