Operational change to the MEMS Electronic Discussion Group
W.C. Athas
1996-07-19
To the MEMS Electronic Discussion Group,

Effectively immediately, the reply-to field for messages redistributed from
"mems" will no longer be set to "mems" but rather the e-mail address of the
original sender. The reason for this change is that an inordinate number of
messages that are deemed to be inappropriate upon review are because the
messages are sent to "mems" when the intent was that only the original
sender receive the message. For example, from our last message audit in
5/96, of the 67 messages that had been rejected since 3/95, 31 were because
they were inadvertently sent to "mems" instead of the original sender.

With this change, please be sure to "cc mems" when replying to a
posting so that the entire readership may benefit, unless of course,
it is your express intent that only the original sender only receive
your reply.
