Hi Naresh-
MEMSCAP offers a product called MEMS Pro that includes a method for converting
from L-Edit 2D layouts to 3D geometrical models that can be read into ANSYS. The
tool works by applying a series of process steps using the masks you define in
L-Edit to automatically create a 3D model which can be output to ANSYS. The
process is described as a series of steps like etch, deposit, mechanical polish,
etc. and are described with a GUI or text file. Each process step may reference
a mask drawn in L-Edit. For example, you would draw geometry on the polysilicon
mask layer in L-Edit and then describe a conformal deposit of poly in the
process definition, followed by a masked etch using the poly mask layer you drew
in L-Edit to create 3D shapes in polysilicon as part of the 3D model. The 3D
model can be displayed and manipulated in MEMS Pro before output to ANSYS. The
models are ready for meshing by ANSYS and are ANSYS friendly.
If you need further information, feel free to contact me at MEMSCAP, my e-mail
