Hello, microfluidics sub-community:

Further to the question about high dielectric constant fluids, we now have
some darned interesting results in dielectrophoretic (DEP) microactuation
of ethylene glycol.  Glycerine seems to be not so interesting.  If those
interested can wait a day or so for the end-of-semester transients to die
down, I will try to add a new video clip to our web site at:
www.ee.rochester.edu:8080/users/jones/    Stay tuned.

By the way, another means to create a high dielectric constant liquid is to
make a "zwitterion" solution, but so far I have no experience with these.
Is there anybody out there who does?

Hy Xiaoshan,
doing one minute internet research I found Methanol (DC=33,6), Ethylene
glycol (DC=38.7) and Acetone (DC=20,9).
