Yes, it's doable. You cannot plate directly on Al, because of its native
oxide, you need to prepare the surface. The most standard method is to
Zincate Al (a substitution reaction which gets rid of Al oxide and
deposits Zinc), and electroplate on top of that. Zincating solution is
available from many vendors (like Alpha Aesar or Enthone), or you can mix
it yourself. Just a word of caution - this solution is extremely
aggressive (pH of 13 or so), so if you want to plate over masked surface,
not much can withstand it.
