Several months ago I asked members about a Decon Dalo resist pen.
This pen writes a thick resist that holds up pretty well to plasma etches and
several acids,
but is readily removed with acetone or resist stripper.
We have found it handy for doing quick etching tests.
Thanks to those who replied. I finally found a U.S. supplier.
Many people had asked for ordering information. Here it is:
The pens are manufactured by ITW Dymon in Olathe, Kansas, USA.
ITW Dymon does not, however, sell the pens directly.
A retail distributor that sells them in the U.S. is McMaster-Carr in Santa Fe
Springs, California, USA,
See www.mcmaster.com or call (562) 692-5911.
They are sold on lots of 24 for about $4 each.
They must be special ordered as they not part of their regular inventory.
Due to this, it may take some convinicing to find someone willing to take your
order.
The U.S.-sold pens say "ACTION MARKER Fine Line 33 PC-901 BLUE" on them.
McMaster-Carr knows them as "ITW #33901, DALO PC BLUE 33 PEN" Part Number 16305
T999.
In the U.K., Decon Laboratories adds its name to the pens, with the label
"Decon-Dalo 33 Blue PC."
