Hi !

There is a little bit personal experience about electro-mechanical
analysis in Ansys and Coventorware, hope it helps.

Both of them offered sequential method to solve electro-mechanical
problems, but Ansys have to mesh the air part through the analysis. It
makes calculation more complex and time consuming. For
Coventorware, there is no need to deal with air part, just simply assign
free-space permittivity.

Ansys provides another two elements(Trans109 & Trans 126) to
solve electro-mechanical problems. More efficient, but hardto
apply on complex 3D model.

Greetings,

I am currently evaluating both Ansys and Coventorware for purchasing. I
was wondering if some of you have had good/bad experiences with the above
softwares that you can share with me?

Thank you
