Try Silicon rersource (480-503-4564) - they have an adhesion promoter siimilar
to HMDS but specially tailor to gold. It should do the trick.

I am looking for a chemical that would make gold hydrophobic. For
example when gold is in contact with strong acids it turns hydrophilic.
Is there a way to reverse this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
