The Chemical Rubber Company (CRC) has a Handbook of Metal Etchants
which is very useful.  The "Metal" part of the title is unfortuntate
because the book includes semiconductors and many compounds.  I
have found this book to be extremely useful even (like all CRC
publications) it is very pricy.
