Josh,
Hamilton Standard made a compactor pressure sensor made of Si and glass.
They have since sold the patent to a company called Rosemount (I think) in
Michigan, USA. You can call United Technologies or Hamilton Standard (now
called Hamilton Sunstran, I believe, to get in touch with the new
manufacturer. Pratt and Whitney still buys the pressure sensor for their
engines.
